I have written down the average comments in which we were given from the viewer feedback below:
What went well:
- There was a large variety of shots and a large variety of distances within the film - however to improve a high shot could be added, but other than that all the shots were included.
- Mise en scene was very good and the objects added to the effect.
- The order of the actual shots were good and made the story more clear.
- The sound was good - for example the sound of the heels at the beginning and the end.
- A lot of enigma codes created from the story and from the voice over at the end.
- Best shot was the match on action where the hood was lifted to reveal the characters expression when she saw her dead body.
- The story line was clear.
- The transitions were basic - however they do fit the genre and the theme of the film.
- The ambulance sound was good at the beginning and catches the viewers attention.
To improve:
- Some of the shots were shaky and fuzzy (however this was because of an effect added on and we were able to fix this)
- Train station doesn't link top much.
- The title 'Delusion' could be in a more interesting font in the title sequence.
- Some parts confusing.
- Lighting not great in some of the shots.
- Voice over gets boring after a while.
- The music at the beginning needs to be improved.
- Not too much editing.
After getting this feedback our group went back to try and improve upon as much as we could that was mentioned in the evaluation and we felt was necessary to change. For example, we made sure to go back to the same location and get more filming and more shots so therefore it would not be as confusing and flowed more well. Seeing as the audience liked the mise en scene of the objects which were on the floor from the accident we made sure to get some more shots of the objects laying about on the floor. We also made sure to refilm some of the shots where the lighting was not very good so it would make the film look more professional. Harrison and Chris went back and added more to the editing to make it better. We also fixed the film where it was fuzzy and got rid of the effect that made it look like this. After doing all this it definitely improved our final film.
